My DD's Shawl

My little girl had seen this shawl/poncho thing at wal-mart and just had to have it. So I let her pick out some yarn and we come up with a pattern. Of course it had to have the rose, just like the one in the store.

I love it. More importantly, she loves it.

Purse for swap

Finally, my swap partner received her package. It had to go all the way to Canada. She loved it.

The fabric is hankerchiefs. I saw them and said "purses". I have to go back and get me some purple ones. I love purple.

Also, I made her a roll for her knitting supplies. This was my first ever. I wasn't to sure how to do it, since I couldn't find a tutorial anywhere. To make the lines even, I just used 1" masking tape. Good trick.

I have got to learn how to knit. It drives me crazy everytime I watch a show on TV and see how easy it looks. Looks can be deceiving. LOL

My new felted purse

OOOOHHHH.

I got a new purse in the mail. This lady in Canada made it for me. She also sent some stuff for the kids. THe lighter green on the purse is made from kool-aid dyed wool. Then she felted it. I love it so much.

I sent her a purse for the swap on craftster. I will post as soon as she gets it.

Abigail's First Day

Abigail had an absolute blast on her first day of preschool. She was angry with me when I picked her up. She wanted me to go get her brothers before her. Here is a picture of her with her kool-aid backpack.

Station Sign

My dear husband had me to drive to the other end of Wears Valley to take this picture. I also had the pleasure of eating lunch with him, so it wasn't a total loss.
Notice the gas price. She kept on changing it. It was going to be $3.29 for reg.

Also, here is a picture of his stone work. This is the first I have taken with this new camera. I lost all of the other pictures when I sold my laptop.

Been awhile

Gosh. Has it been that long?

I have gotten so involved in building this house that every chance I get I work on my dress and this purse for a swap. The house is coming along. Today we are going to mud the sheetrock. Then I can choose paint. Not sure which color I will choose for my bedroom. I get to get a new bed and covers, so the possiblilities are endless.

The kids already have their beds picked out. I have approved one and a half of their color choices. Abigail want pink, of course. Jimmy wants green. I have to get him to choose a color to go with it. I don't want an all green room.

So, Maybe I can get back on her later and post some more. I want to show off the purse I made, but I haven't sent it off yet. I don't want her to see it before she opens the package.
