B & B Fun

Not that kind of B & B. Bird and Bath.. ha ha ha

My dd wanted me to put this on my blog. She is always telling me stuff to blog about.

Here is a pic of her newest Cabbage Patch baby taking a bath in the kitchen sink. Her name is Leila. We call her and Ebaby. She came off of Ebay.

Here is a couple of pics of one of my parakeets. It was flying around the house and landed. For some reason, I was like ...go get my camera.

Styrofoam Cup

What to do when one is bored....

I guess you could turn a styrofoam cup inside out.

Step One: Get a new/used styrofoam cup.

Step Two: Slowly start on the bottom and roll it inwards.

Step Three: Keep doing this until you are done.

What to do when it is finished, or until you break it...

More Doorstops

I have been sewing these past few days. I had promised some Sunbonnet Sue doorstops to a few people. My dd was one. I have had these pieces cut for so long now. It feels good to get them done. Now I have time to finish a purse and my dd's Easter dress.

Snow...Snow...Snow...

That's all it seems to do lately. School was called out here on Thursday. Of course, my dd had a field trip that the school had a hard time setting up. They were going to the Rainforest Adventures. Then, they were going to go to Pizza Hut in Pigeon Forge. It will be rescheduled.

Friday it was back to normal. Snowed some more that night.

Saturday, we went to Cades Cove in Townsend, TN. We went in search of snow. We found more snow at our house. Back home we went.

Sunday, I have been here the whole day. I got some more work done on my doll dress. It has been snowing on and off all day. We now have confirmation that school is closed tomorrow. All day with the kids again. Too bad for them, I have cleaning and business work to do. That's how they spent Thursday. Too bad, so sad.

Apple Stack Cake

Tomorrow is my MIL's 50th birthday. She has been hinting to me about wanting an apple stack cake just like her mother used to make. Since her mom is gone to a better place, I had to look up a recipe and adapt it to what my hubby remembers. I hope she likes it. The stupid thing took me all day to make. Not to mention, I didn't have dried apples. I had to dry some in the oven and boil the rest.

Itsy Bitsy Bikini

My dd loves to wear her bikini, no matter how cold it is outside. Therefore, her little dd had to have one. Here are my results.
She likes it.

Rope Braids

I got this idea and instructions off of another blog.

I can't believe it actually worked for me. I have wanted to do this for years. Finally, a chance this morning to fix her hair a new way. She usually wants it in a low pony tail in the back. She calls it a dog tail.

She loved this though.
