New Years Beach Trip

My DH surprised me last Friday with the notion of going to spend a few days at the beach. I didn't really feel like going, due to the colds going around the house. I guess my 5yo talked me into by going and packing her bag. She is up for any trip, anywhere at a moment's notice. (LOL As I write this entry, she is talking about taking a trip without her middle brother. We went this trip without the oldest. He was away.)

The highlight of the whole trip was that I didn't have to drive. My hubby just bought one of those funky looking new Mustang GT's. Of course, he got the straight shift. I'm guessing he did that so I couldn't drive it to the grocery store. I'll stick with the other vehicles.

Here are a few of my fave photos. I can't believe that I took 66 pictures. I was shocked when I got home and looked at the numbers. WoW.

Look at this wild house. It looks like a UFO. We stumbled upon this when we got off course looking for the motel we stayed at before. Plus, a nice deer fish from the pier in Garden City.


Here are my fave photos of two of the kids on the beach. These are keepers. We collected two shopping bags with the bottom only full of shells. Abigail kept saying the black ones were moon rocks that fell from the sky. My son was mostly intrigued by the soapy scum that was everywhere. He said that it made him sad to see people just messing up the ocean like that.


Here are a few interesting photos from Broadway at the Beach. That place was neat. We only went to check it out because they were to have a fireworks show later. We chose not to go as most of the dining places around were closed to minors after 8pm. I figured most of the people would be drunk. Not what I want around my small children.
