Is it spring?

It must be spring, because I have done so much cleaning lately. Maybe, I can make it turn spring if I do cleaning. I don't know.
I haven't had much time to craft lately. I have been cleaning out our 'junk room.' It used to be our bedroom. Then, it turned into a room to put everything that didn't have an actual place. Now, I have to make everything have a place for now. That just isn't going so smooth. My old living room, which is now a dining room, has been turned upside down. I have so much stuff in here it is impossible to sit down and sew. My dh is going to buy a bigger fish tank and turn two of these tanks in here into one big tank in the kids living room. I can't wait. That would give me so much more room.
On the other front, the boys will soon be sleeping in the girly room. They will be staying in there while their two rooms get finished. One needs some more sheet rock. They both need a window added. Not to mention...carpet, paint, furniture. Oh man. I guess after finishing the other two bedrooms, I got a little lazy. Back to work.

Someone save me....

Earrings, Earrings, Earrings

I have the earring bug. I have made 5 pairs today. One, I will not post on this site. You do have to go to the etsy site and see. It is a little risque. Plus, I also made a little Q-Bert for a necklace or a charm bracelet. The risque one isn't painted yet. So I haven't listed it. I will alert the media when this happens.

I sold the Q-bert and snake earring set this morning. I was totally shocked. I only posted them last night. Apparently a big fan was watching the items. They also wanted to know if I would make some more stuff. They were even kind enough to give me some ideas. I am still thinking on some. I just have to find the right fabrics or make my own fabric. Oh, the possibilities are endless. None the less, I made the charm.

Here is a pic of today's goodies....

Q-BERT & SNAKE + more stuff

Since I sold both pairs of my pacman earrings. I have been working hard to put stuff in my etsy shop.

I have been busy making ear rings. My bright idea was Q-bert. He is just the cutest little thing. My dd said he looks like a "macaroni guy." He sure is the color. I guess she was talking about the Kraft guy.

I was in the crafty mood and no ideas what-so-ever. This is how the email set came to be. I was thinking I would check my email. OH OH.... and that was that.

Eyeballs. Yeah, what else can you make with no ideas.

SOLD

I am super excited. I just sold both pairs of pacman earrings. WOW.

I have some new ideas for more earrings. I just have to figure out the basics of how to do it. More to come on that subject.

I have been researching old ideas. What now.....hmmm?

DD's 5th Birthday

Well, I'm just going to start this post early. Today is her birthday. She just happens to be at school having a cupcake party there.

Here is the Tinkerbell dress she picked out for her birthday. This is one of her presents from us. Her grandpa had gotten her a Nintendo DS. Her grandma got her some boots, suprisingly her fave so far. Since she had the DS and no "dog game," I had to go buy it for her. She wanted the Nintendogs game.
Believe it or not, she had those shoes already. Don't ask.

Here is the cake I made for her.

In case you can't tell, it is a castle. I know. It's a little wonky. It's all because it slammed the wall. I accidentally hit the wall with the foam board base and it came back and hit my arm. Look what it left....ouch.
It looks even darker today.

The Scribbler

The scribbler, not to be confused with the scrambler. I saw this program on another blog. She had a couple of her drawings scribbled. So what the hay, I'll do it too.

At first thought, I assumed this was going to be boring. But, an hour later.... Yes, it is addictive. Even the kids got into it. Try it for yourself.

First Polymer CLay

Today, two of the kids and I did arts and crafts. We had our first go around with polymer clay. I am here to tell you, I won't be buying more. It feels so funny. The kids got into it, but not me. Here are our results....

This is Austin's. The brush is to comb out his ferret's hair. The other stuff is a skull and a tri-legged creature. He looks like Homer Simpson to me.
This is Abigail's. It is a ring and a coin. It really has a penny inside.
I tried make a clock base to add stuff onto later. The cd turned out really cool in the oven. It looks like sprite or something.
I made a crochet hook and a purse. The purse is hollow inside. I am going to use it for an upcoming project. It will hold little flowers.

Heritage photos

I just love all the vintage photos on this lady's photo blog. She has some really nice ones. You ought to check it out if you like to look at old pics. Maybe just me. ANYWAYS....

Yeah, I'm bored. Hubby won't let me sew on my machine because he is watching a movie. LKJLKJLKJJasdjfkl;sdflkj

War Bowls

Have you seen these things around? I have been wanting to make one forever. I reminded myself while at the dollar store and bought some blue police guys. I read everything on the net. Well, not EVERYTHING.

I had to try it my way though. And here are the results....

The darker one is more true to the color. I guess the camera had a hard time with the tin foil.

Mine just cost $1.10.

Puzzle

I haven't done a puzzle, besides the kids, in like forever. So, I bought this real pretty one the other day. It was only $1, so what the heck, hey. I finally got it done. When I get it glued, I will frame it and hang it in my dd's room. She just loves it.

In Search Of...Dress form

I have been searching, bidding, and searching again because I was outbid. I am looking for a dress form. I want to make one of those lamps I saw on Tv.

I have now given up my search and I am going to make one. I really wanted one that was more womanly, if you get my drift. Yet, I will be using my little dd for a model. I guess this is more appropriate since it will go in her room.

You wouldn't believe how many tutorials are on the www. Checking them all out takes time. I have figured out which way to go about and now to get started.

Rambling. I haven't done anything today but clean house, fish tanks, rabbit cage, and bird cages. I am soooo ready to go to sleep. I just can't seem to get away from the computer. I guess I just want some time to myself. This is the first time I have logged onto the computer for myself. My son was on earlier.
I will stop boring everyone now. Good night.

Working Hard

I have been working hard on just about everything.

My dd has asked for shoes for her kids. Yes, all four of them. They are Cabbage Patch Kids. I have finished 3 shoes. Just three. Not three pairs.

She then said they needed hats, coats, and gloves. She must think I am a crocheting machine. I had already sewn their stupid clothes. I am not made of yarn and fabric. I do not live in front of the sewing machine. I tried to get this across to her. She doesn't listen.

Her birthday is coming up in a little over a week. I have to order cupcakes for her class. It sucks that you just can't make them anymore. Everything has to come from the store. I could design some killer cupcakes. Anyway, I figured strawberries for the girls and spiders for the boys. Not too hard. Expensive. But not hard to call and order. As for her cake here, she wants a castle. Again, I am not made of frosting and cake.

Oh well, I will quit rambling. Pics of the shoes later.

Sha Sha in CROCHET

This is the first purse that I had crocheted. I finally got it completely done. Whew. The other one turning out so nice, got me in the mood to finish.
I modeled it after the infamous sha sha purses on craftster.

This is the first flower that I had ever to turn out also. I was so proud of myself. I have tried and tried to get the hang of flowers. Definitely going to do more.

I'm not sure what yarn this is. I had bought it a few years ago for the hair on a doll I had sewn for my dd. Her hair was that exact shade of pale yellow. Now it is more of a golden yellow.

Tickle Me Guava

Finally, my first completely done crocheted purse. Now I just have to finish the other one.

I am so proud of it and myself. Wonders will amaze you when you actually put your mind to do something.

I am not keeping this one though. I put it immediately up for purchase in my etsy shop. I hope I didn't price it too high. It had a bit of hand stitching on it also. I put the price on it I did, because everyone else had their crocheted bags that price ranged. I hope it sells.

The inside pic just doesn't do it justice. The fabric is really hot pink, not red like in the pic.
